Fat leather is an incredibly soft material and therefore should not be used until it becomes soft, it is from the start.
Fat leather is not suitable for large dogs that pull a lot. Leather is an organic material and will therefore give a little. Then your dog is on the verge of two sizes, so choose the smallest of the sizes.
Remember that there must be room for two fingers between the measuring tape and the dog's neck. The fingers must lie flat against the neck and not on the edge between the measuring tape and the neck.

Maintenance
Leather must NOT be put in the washing machine, wash with a damp cloth and possibly leather soap. When it is dry, grease the harness in a good quality leather grease. Leather grease ensures that your harness stays nice, flexible and strong for many years and it is important to take care of the leather harness properly, it does not benefit from salt water - but if this happens, wash it after the beach trip and coat it well in leather grease when it is dry.
